I have continued to meditate and reflect on the power of words this week as they shape our cognition and focus the way in which we react to this world and one another.

All of this came to fruition recently when I was talking with a man of 91 years. The sparkle in his eyes, and the optimism of his voice clearly indicated his understanding of this promise when he told me “I am not an old man, so I have to get up, get out there (outside), and see what the world has to offer to me!”

I have continued to hear that still, small voice this week reminding me about the power of words as it encourages me to share teach this information.

“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” Proverbs 18:21
